if ever mentioned, indiana is frequently only used as an origin/back story detail. you don’t get many things set in indiana (there are a few, though). this is part of why i like parks and rec and kurt vonnegut (they’re also just good), and why everything i write is set in indiana. it isn’t new york, but it’s my home, and it’s a unique joy when i see it represented fully in film, lit, comics, etc.
